Maybe have you heard about L’Ours Bar, this very tiny cocktail bar in rue de Paradis? Created in 2010, L’Ours seduces people with chef cocktails at small prices and its more than friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, its smallness couldn’t let all of us come in. But, luckily, L’Ours Bar now has a little brother that is much bigger!
Of course, I’m talking about Le Renard Bar. If the animal changed (we go from a bear to a fox), the successful recipe is the very same at L’Ours: still a Happy Hour session with cocktails for €6, still a list of drinks to die for, still a flawless service and first and foremost… still the same wallpaper featuring cute foxes.
After hesitating for long minutes, we finally went for the What the Fox (tequila, grapefruit juice, lime, cranberry and pepper and salt coating) and a Rhubarbe Rousse (vodka, rhubarb, lime, ginger beer, angostura bitter and mandarine Napoléon). We continue with a Jardin anglais with gin and cucumber and a Point Vert with rum, peach liquor and basil syrup. The latter are even tastier than the first cocktails, we could easily succumb to a third cocktail, but let’s be reasonable, we have to work tomorrow morning!
For the record, for small cravings, Le Renard Bar has various smoked burratas, dry sausages, hummus, tapenade and so on that made our table neighbors very happy.
In short, L’Ours Bar buddies have not change a thing in their menu for Le Renard Bar and we’re happy with it! So, don’t hesitate, we found our new winter den!
