Let’s rush to the heart of Paris, in the kingdom of good food, at 99 rue de la Verrerie in Paris. On the spot, we discover a large teashop with many tables to have a seat and enjoy a treat in a modern and laid-back atmosphere.
In front of us, a large counter with – on one side – pastries and waffles, then milk chocolates pouring from the fountain, chocolate coatings for ice cream and the dark chocolate fountains.
On the menu, there’s something for everyone. The chocolate bar offers 4 grands crus from various origins going from the sweetest to the strongest: Venezuela at 72%, Madagascar at 64%, fruity Brazil at 55% and milk Caribbean at 46%. To them are added 2 milk chocolate flavored with caramel and hazelnut.
These chocolates are kept at 32°C – the perfect temperature. It’s with these melted chocolates that all the preparations are done (excluding ice creams that are directly put into the right trays).
For a glass of hot chocolate for example, 30gr of chocolate are poured in a glass, and then you add as much milk as you please and whip it. Thick or diluted, it’s up to you. You enjoy the coffee-chocolate mix? You can go for a chocolatey coffee.
Moving on to food, besides cookies and other muffins, we have waffles, cheesecakes and profiteroles to generously cover in chocolate. You don’t know what to choose? Go for the coffee with a selection of desserts.
It’s not the season yet, but do we really need a season for an ice cream? We melt for the hearty cone that you’ll eat in one bite only.
Let’s have some chocolate!
