From Monday October 1 to Sunday October 14, 2018, the food event “Tous au Restaurant” (Let's go to the Restaurant) is back in Paris.
For many years now, the event is the occasion to discover restaurants at attractive rates because of this very simple principle: one meal bought, one meal offered! For 15 days, over 1,400 restaurants make their table more available.
Some gourmet visitors make the best of the event to try a starred restaurant and some want to try a young talented chef's bistrot or even lively brasseries and other local cuisines. But be careful, the principle is not to come to the restaurant and ask for a discount, not at all. You have to register on the website - in French - but remember that a reservation can be difficult to get since restaurateurs only offer 2 or 3 tables per service.
Guy Savoy, Anne-Sophie Pic, Jean-Louis Nomicos, Hélène Darroze, the Groupe Flo restaurants and Restaurants from the Groupe Châteaux et Hôtels Collections will take part in the event.
Last year’s edition, in 2017, met a great success. About 600,000 people came to taste dishes cooked by 1,200 chefs! For this 9th edition, ambitions are revised upwards and aim at gathering over 1,500 restaurants.
This year, foodies from various cities throughout France are invited to discover France's gastronomic variety in pop-up restaurants. In Paris, "Tous Au Restaurant" will be the perfect opportunity for a Banks face-off (Battle de Rives) with two chef duos that will face off about their vision of the Parisian cuisine. For example, on the Right bank (Rive Droite) we have chefs Mathieu Afonso (Mon Paris! restaurant) and Karim Haidar (Askini) and on the Left bank (Rive Gauche) we have Pierre Saugrain (La Fontaine de Mars) and Mikaela Liaroutsos (Etsi).
