Maybe one of the comfiest restaurant in Paris 14th arrondissement… For a few months, Bistrot des Plantes offers to treat gastronomes thanks to a return to the source of cuisine: seasonal products, culinary discovery, highlight of the room work…. A way to rediscover the fundamentals of gastronomy and the French culinary know-how in respect with the art.
Featuring twenty coverts, this small local bistro with a cozy and very “Montmartre” atmosphere is set in a very quiet location and is very friendly, like a small village, far from the capital’s main arteries. The latter offers a new menu on a daily basis and according to what the chef finds at the market and his inspiration (a bit like Les Résidents, that renews itself every six months). A cuisine in respect with the seasonal products and quotas when the menu offers seafood. And moving on to wine, the sommelier perfectly knows how to pair the menu to offer vintages most of them being organic and always enlivening the chosen dishes.
The idea? Giving the whole catering industry pride of place while making live the art of the table while spending a lovely moment. As simple as that… In terms of cuisine, we tasted the menu of the day and we rather liked it: as a starter, candied leeks, razor clams, Granny Smith and horseradish cream; supreme of yellow chicken, butternut and buckwheat for the main course; and kiwi, soursop mousse and cocoa sponge cake as dessert. Beyond the always meticulous presentation, the dishes served are particularly tasty and perfectly seasoned. It’s fresh, it’s delicious as any cuisine worthy of its name should be. Yet, to enjoy a nice meal in the place, you better book early. Let’s go, friends?
