Nestled in the heart of the 14th arrondissement, in a small street a little lost, hides a restaurant of the most discreet, but with a rather refined and accessible cuisine for all budgets... The Bistrot des Plantes proposes simple and without fuss, but always tasty, and menus which change according to the seasons and the mood of the chef. A little gem of gastronomy.

Perhaps one of the most pleasant restaurants in the 14th arrondissement... For the past few months, the Bistrot des Plantes has been offering to treat gourmets with a return to the source of cuisine: seasonal products, culinary discovery, highlighting the work of the dining room... A way of rediscovering the fundamentals of French gastronomy and culinary know-how in the rules of the art.

With its twenty or so covers, this small neighborhood bistro has a very cozy and "Montmartre" atmosphere and is located in a very quiet and friendly place, a bit like a small village, far from the main arteries of the capital. Every day, the chef proposes a new menu, depending on what he finds at the market and his inspiration (a bit like the restaurant Les Résidents which reinvents itself every six months). A cuisine that respects seasonal products and quotas when the menu offers seafood. And as for wine, the sommelier knows perfectly well how to adapt to the menu to offer wines that are mostly organic and always complement the chosen dishes.

The idea? To really highlight the restaurant business as a whole, while bringing the art of the table to life and having a pleasant time. It's as simple as that... As for the cuisine, we were able to test the menu of the day, and we rather liked it: as a starter, confit leeks, knives, Granny Smith and horseradish cream; yellow chicken supreme, butternut and buckwheat for the main course and kiwis, soursop syphon and cocoa sponge for dessert. Beyond the always neat presentation, the dishes served are particularly good and seasoned to perfection. It is fresh and tasty, as any self-respecting cuisine should be. On the other hand, to enjoy a good meal in the establishment, it is imperative to reserve. Shall we go there, friends?

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
