Baccara, the cards-on-the-table restaurant at the Enghien-les-Bains casino

Lovers of fine dining, table games and slot machines love the Baccara restaurant at the Barrière d'Enghien-les-Bains casino, located in the northern suburbs of Paris, 14km from the capital. This "oasis of calm" is located inside the casino, on the first floor, at the end of the Grande Salle, just past the roulette tables. An ideal spot to enjoy tasty dishes and take a break between games.

On the menu, gourmets are spoilt for choice: two-salmon tartare with green apple, chicken nems, Burgundy escargot, roasted scallops and risotto fondant au fumet de homard... There's something for every taste and every budget. For dessert, indulge in a bowl of autumn apple and gingerbread ice cream, a pear and caramel entremet or a chocolate marquise.

A cuisine we were honored to sample. For starters, squid fritters melt in your mouth, accompanied by a tasty Béarnaise sauce. For the main course, the scallops and lobster risotto are simply divine, also melting in the mouth and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we were tempted by a bowl of autumn apple and gingerbread ice cream, with an interesting balance. A most surprising blend of flavors that will undoubtedly delight the taste buds of those with a sweet tooth.

In terms of ambience and decoration, Art Deco elegance reigns supreme, with gold, mahogany and mirrors creating a subdued, lounge-like atmosphere. A veritable cocoon of softness, ideal for a break before returning to the hustle and bustle of the game. Shall we go, friends?
