Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette took over one of the most beautiful places on the Champs-Elysées in Paris: 50-52 Avenue des Champs-Elysées, a splendid Art Déco building and former Virgin Megastore.
For this new address, Galeries Lafayette bets on a selection of 600 brands and 300 designers. The four floors gather the best of fashion and food.
On the ground floor, in a zone accessible from the Rue de Ponthieu (a street parallel to the Champs-Elysées), we discover a big beauty and perfumery selection in a bright and warm place inviting us to test products thanks to the chairs set near large tables.
On the first floor, casual fashion that is affordable and young, but most of all, Citron a Jacquemus restaurant that has been very awaited by everyone!
On the second and last floor, Luxury, promising a beautiful shopping experience thanks to an army of personal stylists, outfits highlighted in alcoves like major brands’ window displays. In a corner, hiding from everyone, we have wonderful watches.
In the basement, gastronomy! Caterers, pastry chefs and enoteca expect us for great discoveries: we have Alain Ducasse, Stohrer and Yard as well as about a hundred delicatessen offers…
If you’re done visiting the store, Galeries Lafayette has more surprises in store: the roof can be used, and a restaurant might appear some day soon on the rooftop and before summer.
To meet the needs of a clientele looking for a new shopping experience, the department store plans high-range services.
As for the building, it kept all its glory, making the majestic Art Deco stairs shine in front of a bronze Eiffel Tower, an idea by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels.
