Since 2017, Meïsō has been based in Paris, in the La Chapelle district, and this Sunday, a brand new center, the only one of its kind in Europe, opens its doors near Olympiades. An opportunity to take a moment of introspection all to yourself, and float out of time and space, in a bath filled with Epsom salt, as in the Dead Sea, but without leaving Paris.
Away from noise and worries, you enjoy a true immersion in silence, in total sensory isolation, to effectively relax and let yourself be carried away by the water, without resistance. Perfect for releasing tension in body and mind, and getting back to basics! Epsom salt has been known for centuries to relieve muscular and joint pain, and alleviate skin problems. The very large quantity of salt in the pool allows you to float on the water, with gravity reduced by 80%, so your body is weightless!
Everything is organized to gently prepare you for thefloating experience, in a warm and welcoming environment. You then choose the conditions of your session: a guided meditation, the sound of Tibetan bowls, silence, in complete darkness or with a colored nightlight... the experience is personalized and very intimate, as soon as you enter your individual capsule. For an hour, you can let go of your emotions and plunge into a meditative state, freeing yourself from everyday stress, before a compulsory hot shower to remove the salt from your body.
And don't worry if you're claustrophobic: despite the size of the capsule, there's no sensation of suffocation or discomfort - it's more like being in a little cocoon!
It's also possible to enjoy other moments of well-being at Meïsō, coupled with your floating bath, thanks to a massage, a hypnosis session or a sophrology session. Hammocks are available to extend the moment with a bit of reading, a nap or a comforting drink.
