Château de Vaux le Vicomte's Easter hunt is one of the best in Île-de-France. Every year, for Easter weekend, the teams of the private castle bend over backwards to make children have fun and challenge older children with over 90,000 chocolates hidden in the 33-hectare landscaped garden.
This year, you are expected on Saturday April 16, Sunday 17, and Monday 18, 2022, for giant races starting from 10 a.m.. In Vaux-le-Vicomte, you must validate a first scroll of paper to make it to the famous Easter egg hunt. And to avoid fights and deception, several hunts are held at the same time depending on the children's age. There is a space for children 2-5 years old, 6-12, 12-18, and a chase for adults enabling to leave with tickets for the Château Candlelit dinners! As a matter of facts, those finding the golden egg can win a wonderful night out.
The teen-adult chases mix rapidity, dexterity, and skill. For the youngest hunters, it is all about exploring. All the more so as hidden eggs are made of plastic so that each child can leave with a box of Leonidas chocolates at the end of the day, no matter how many eggs they found!
And that is not all, a giant game called "1,2, Roi Soleil" (the royal and French version of "Red Light Green Light"), led by actors will disturb participant's chocolate hunt. As a matter of fact, they must freeze once the Sun looks at them!
Note that 4 golden hazelnut eggs are also hidden in the aisles of the park. Special eggs likely to make you win a POP UP book by P'tites Poules: Jean qui dort et Jean qui lit!
Last but not least, all day long, giant wooden toys and small boats on the pond are available to entertain children.
If you are interested in this Easter egg hunt, hurry up and book tickets!
