The Musée des Avelines is housed in a former 1930s villa built by Alfred Daniel Brunet. Since 1988, the villa has been the Musée d'art et d'histoire de la ville de Saint-Cloud, showcasing the town's history and heritage through a fine collection. Come and discover it this Saturday, May 18, 2024, on the occasion of Museum Night.
In the heart of the Villa Brunet, a sublime antique-style residence, you'll find paintings, sculptures and drawings, as well as engravings, photographs and postcards echoing the history of the town and the park of Saint-Cloud, from the 17th century to the present day. A special focus is placed on Saint-Cloud soft-paste porcelain! This is a key stop-off point for conquering the heritage of the Paris region, and more specifically that of the Hauts-de-Seine.
Why not take advantage of the 20th Nuit des Musées to discover this beautiful art and history museum dedicated to the town of Saint-Cloud? For this special evening, the Musée des Avelines also invites you to plunge into the heart of its collections, with free tours all day long and at night.
From March 29 to September 22, 2024, the "Saint-Cloud, le sport à la Une (1880-1950)" exhibition, organized by the Musée des Avelines and the city's Heritage and Archives Department, is an opportunity to discover the history of sport through an exhibition at the museum and on the facades of facilities in all the city's districts.
Parents and children can discover the exhibition in an active way! Guided by a mediator, mime the athletes in action!
