Here comes one of the highlights of the Parisian cultural calendar. This year's Nuit des Musées will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, and will feature a host of exceptional evening events, free tours and unusual activities. In Paris and throughout theÎle-de-France region, museums, châteaux, monuments and other fine institutions will all be taking part, unveiling their programs in turn. So don't miss out! Are you in the Hauts-de-Seine department and looking for some great places to visit during Nuit des Musées 2024? Head for the Domaine de Sceaux, and more specifically the Petit Château de Sceaux, home to the prefiguration pavilion of the Musée du Grand Siècle. This beautiful, classically styled residence is preparing to house the Musée du Grand Siècle, dedicated to the history and art of the 17th century, scheduled to open by 2026. In anticipation of the inauguration, the Pavillon gives us a sneak preview of the works that will be on display. So, what can we expect from Nuit des Musées 2024?

    Readings from the Grand Siècle by Laurent Stocker, Comédie Française
    From Racine to Bossuet, from the past to the present!
    In these readings by Laurent Stocker, member of the Comédie Française, we'll hear texts by Racine, Bossuet and Molière, three major authors and playwrights who brilliantly illustrated the 17th century.

    Gambist Atsushi Sakaï will accompany Laurent Stocker, offering musical breaths here and there between the chapters.
