You've never visited the Musée de l'Orangerie on the White Night? Go and make it up this Saturday October 6, 2018.
Three year ago, the Musée de l’Orangerie launched the crazy project of creating the Night of the Quartet: a night dedicated to chamber music on the occasion of the White Night. Organizing this event on the White Night allows to open the art-loving public to chamber music concerts in Paris.
So that means that this Saturday October 6, 2018, at night-time, the Musée de l’Orangerie will be free of charge at night and host international quartets for chamber music concerts performed in the exceptional setting of Claude Monnet’s Water Lilies gallery with their shimmering colors!
Program of the White Night 2018 at the Musée de l’Orangerie:
Quartets Akilone, Ardeo, Tchalik and even Yako will perform masterpieces from today's and yesterday's repertoire. Each concert can welcome up to 100 guests who will discover first a work written by composers from all over the world including Florence Baschet, Michèle Reverdy, Leilei Tian and Xu Yi and conducted by ProQuartet on the occasion.
The Night of the Quartet offers then 9 concerts and a wonderful acknowledgment of chamber music!
