White Night - Nuit Blanche 2021 in Paris: metros riding for free all night long?

Every year, the RATP teams up with the White Night in Paris with metro lines working all night long so that you can all enjoy the party without being afraid of not being able to go back home. Unfortunately, this year, metros will not be free of charge and service will stop at 2 a.m. as the City of Paris has not planned entertainments beyond usual hours.

The White Night is a Parisian event expected by all every year and it is out of question to stay at home because you are afraid not being able to come back home at 4 in the morning. Yet, this time, you will have to do without the traditional system of metrostrains and buses provided by the RATP and Île-de-France Mobilités - the local transport system - to travel around the event.

Every year, the RATP leaves a few metro lines open all night, in addition to more Noctilien buses so that you can fully enjoy the works of the art route all evening long. After a white year for the White Night 2020 - cancelled over the Covid-19 epidemic - the RATP does not do it again in 2021. "There is no modification of the transport offer for the White Nights", the services claim.

To justify their decision, the public company says this year, for the White Night, "The City of Paris does not consider events beyond the usual cover hours". Therefore, no free metros nor trains and none of them open all night: traffic will go as usual! In 2020, metro and RER lines will work as usual. And there will be no free transport either.
