For this White Night 2020, Paris welcomes over artists and groups to take over the city on Saturday October 3, 2020. Here is the official route!
This Saturday October 3, 2020 is the White Night in Paris. This past May, Paris deputy mayor for Culture Christophe Girard said this year's White night will be "chiselled and delicate" to enjoy "in groups of ten maximum" because of coronavirus.
The White Night has been presented on September 15, 2020 by this edition's four art directors and they have decided the party will be held in a cleaner format with outdoor installations in the city museum's gardens, and other places open to all.
Here is the program of the official route of the White Night including 20 works and installations. Besides, 42 museums and cultural venues open at night with works chosen in the "OFF" selection - not ordered by the city of Paris.
White Night 2020 at the Musée BourdelleThe Musée Bourdelle takes part in the White Night 2020 and welcomes Anne-Charlotte Finel for a video installation in the gardens of the museum on Saturday October 3, 2020. The unique occasion to rediscover sculptures by Antoine Bourdelle to Voiski's electro music.
White Night 2020 at the Villa Vassilieff
The Villa Vassilieff takes part in the White Night 2020 by inviting over Jumana Emil Abboud. The artist presents Maskouneh (Inhabité), a video installation running outside the Villa Vassilieff on Chemin du Montparnasse, all night long on October 3, 2020.
White Night 2020: Laure Prouvost and Boris Achour boulevard Edgar Quinet
Amid the coronavirus crisis, Laure Prouvost takes over boulevard Edgar Quinet with a security gate, a sort of viable sculpture, a control area and a worrying passage leading to a fantastic world. A bit further on, Boris Achour takes over boulevard Edgar Quinet with a poem by Johannes Scheffer written in neon letters and covering 150 meters.
White Night 2020 at the Petit PalaisFor the White Night 2020, the Petit Palais remains open late on Saturday October 3, and offers us to discover a hanging installation by Françoise Pétrovitch, playing with sounds, lights and the museum's architecture.
