Millennials and art, the exhibition at Paris Studio Harcourt

From May 2 to October 31, 2018, Paris Studio Harcourt hosts a new photo exhibition entitled “Generation Y à l’épreuve de l’art”.

Studio Harcourt has seen hundreds of actors, novel writers and politicians pass under its so special lights… And for good reason: not only Studio Harcourt is the most famous and prestigious photo studio in Paris, but also the place where giants meet!

Created by Cosette Harcourt, the very first female photographer to have had open a studio with her name in 1934, the Studio has become so mythical that Roland Bathes said in his Mythologies (1957): “In France, you are not a real actor if you’ve not been photographed by Studio Harcourt”.

Temporary exhibitions are regularly organized so that you can visit this temple of photography. This spring, models of the presentation, Génération Y à l’épreuve de l’art have in common their youth… and their success.

We catch 1980-born boxer Maïva Hamadouche’s eye, 1985-born stylist Olivier Rousteing, or 1993-born actor Vincent Lacoste… They are in their twenties, thirties and follow unique destinies.

So, as Roland Barthes used to say, their Harcourt portraits let them make it to the big league. We look at them like at prizes…

A beautiful exhibition!
