Do you like the beauty of Japanese gardens and parks? Have you heard about the Parc de l’Amitié in Rueil-Malmaison, right outside Paris? A few steps from the sublime Parc des impressionnistes, this uncommon garden covering 1.5-hectare in the heart of the city has it all.
In this local park hides a surprising Japanese garden, a Zen 2,500sqm garden. A surprising and exotic background featuring a sublime red bridge above a lovely stream adorned with pebbles. Around this Japanese bridge, rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias uplift the spring décor. In the Fall, the park is adorned with the gorgeous colors of the colorful maple trees and water lilies.
This bridge reminds us of the one set in the awe-inspiring Japanese garden of Musée Albert Kahn we love a lot. But this park has the special feature of being free of charge and open to all.
This is the perfect place to have a seat, meditate, and relax. Furthermore, a Zen garden with traditional stone patterns is set ahead of the bridge.
Discover more themed gardens: the secret garden, the Renaissance garden, the scented garden with aromatic herbs where sage, mint, thyme and absinthe fill the air, and the beautiful rose garden gathering about fifty kinds of rose and a main bandstand.
In April, the display of tulips and narcissuses enliven this very coveted local park. The park opens from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. from October to late April, and until 8 p.m. from May to September.
So, shall we go and discover this Japanese and original park, then?
