Feel like experiencing a magical moment with friends a few weeks prior to Christmas? This Sunday November 29, 2020, head to the Parc de La Villette for the Lantern Festival in Paris.
Every year since 2015, the lantern parade brings passersby together for our greatest joy. From 5 p.m., grab a lantern in the Little Villette park and walk along with musicians, and light up La Villette park thanks to your handmade lanterns. After you lit the park with your lanterns, the party ends over a cup of spicy Christmas tea to warm up.
This is a Japanese dream walk you can enjoy at La Villette, by the Canal de l'Ourcq. We remember the magnificent fire installation by Compagnie Carabosse that marked the summer 2019 and we can already imagine how happy children will be with this free parade!
By the way, this great lantern parade is provided by Théâtre Les Poussières, a company from Aubervilliers used to lit the streets of Aubervilliers with lanterns made by the inhabitants in October.
