Would you like to play in the water? Just a stone's throw from La Défense is the green 25-hectare Parc André Malraux in Nanterre. We go there to discover the free water playground of 1,200 m² which awaits young and old alike as soon as the weather is hot all summer long.

How about a little watering? It's really hot this summer. If you're looking for a place to entertain the kids and cool off, here's a good free plan that should please the whole family.

You have to go to the north of the lake to discover the famous water play area (in front of the RER station "Nanterre Préfecture", entrance located at the foot of the Five Columns of the Charles de Gaulle esplanade) to discover the free water play area open to all .

The space reveals 3 different zones accessible according to the age group, defined by the drawings of the mosaic which covers the whole water play area and 10 categories of jets.

  • Toddler zone defined by a sun for children from 0 to 5 years old and which offers soft and continuous water effects
  • Octopus zone defined by the octopus drawing for children from 5 to 12 years old which offers varied and playful water effects
  • Blue zone accessible for all ages with fun water effects
To access it, you must wear a bathing suit. Access is then via two compulsory passages equipped with a footbath and a water arch that serves as a shower.

This water playground is open every day from 11:30 am to 7 pm depending on the weather conditions. In case of rain (or risk of rain announced by Météo France) and temperatures below 21°C, the water games are closed. Children are under the responsibility of the adults who accompany them to the water games.

Please note that thiswater play area is subject to daily water quality control and monitoring by the ARS IDF / Agence Régionale de Santé d'Île-de-France.
