This Saturday, January 6, 2018, Rallye Paris Tour invites you to put on your walking shoes and go discover Paris main monuments and neighborhoods. This traditional hike through the Parisian streets promises awe and friendly atmosphere.

Some people don’t really know Paris while other lack sport in their daily lives. Luckily, Rallye Paris Tour Eiffel is here to change your life for an exceptional day.

So, for now 32 years, thousands of walkers gather around every year for a one-of-a-kind hike.

The goal? Practicing sport to evacuate excess of the holiday period while visiting the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris that are still decorated with the Christmas lights. The next edition takes place this Saturday January 6, 2018 departing from the Halle Georges Carpentier.

So far, Rallye Paris Tour Eiffel reached such a remarkable success that goes beyond the Ile de France region. In a more than friendly atmosphere, you’ll walk by the main Parisian monuments (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Hotel de Ville, Palais Royal…), the Ile Saint-Louis or the famous and quaint rue Mouffetard alongside sport enthusiasts of all ages and from everywhere in France and in the world. Excluding Montmartre all monuments are yours, beautifully lightened up for the Holidays.

To take part to this rather original operation, there’s nothing simpler. Sign in to the historical association Godillot familial (website in French), the organizer of the rally and complete one of the 4 circuits (10km, 15km, 16km and 23k), to choose according to your stamina.

This year’s 4 routes:

  • The 10-km itinerary will take you to the greatest Parisian monuments. The Seine riverbanks, the Eiffel Tower, the Place de la Concorde, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysées, the Louvre and the Hotel de Ville are on the menu of this tour.

  • The following route covers 15 km and will go under Paris bridges. The route you’ll follow takes you to the Seine Riverbanks while seeing the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Ile Saint-Louis, the Panthéon and the Rue Mouffetard.

  • The 16-km course will make you discover the Gobelins area, the Louvre, the Montparnasse Tower, the Invalides, the Ecole Militaire, the Champs de Mars, the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadéro, the Champs-Elysées, the Concorde, the Assemblée Nationale, the Musée d’Orsay… and many more places.

  • Last but not least, the final 23-km is the same as the 16-km one until the Place de la Concorde, you will then discover the Eglise de la Madeleine, the Place Vendôme, the Opera Garnier, the Comédie Française, the Halles, Beaubourg, the Hotel de Ville, the Ile de la Cité, Notre-Dame, Cluny thermal baths, the Sorbonne, the Panthéon, the rue Mouffetard before returning to Halle George Carpentier.

Throughout the hike, you’ll have the possibility to get some food and water at the checkpoint. But there’s a catering area to help yourself at the Halle George Carpentier (until midnight!).

Here are some pictures so that you know what to expect:

A unique and tonic way to roam around Paris! The hike is open to all. Yet, children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Organizers are not responsible for any minor missing. Think about giving them the arrival address, your phone number and tell them to stay on the event route.
