New Year’s Eve 2018 on the Champs-Elysées: sound and light show

To mark the New Year, Paris City Hall invites all Parisians and tourists to gather around on the Champs-Elysées. This Sunday December 31, 2017, at nighttime, a wonderful light and sound show expects you on the Arc de Triomphe.

This year again, Paris City Hall invites Parisians and tourists on the Champs-Elysées. Meet on New Year’s Eve, this Sunday December 31, 2017 to discover the Arc de Triomphe displaying wonderful colors.

At about 11:30 p.m., the show will be performed by light projections on the Arc de Triomphe. These pictures projections and this pyrotechnic show highlights a special theme: the Parisian life.

And to let the magic truly happen, the Champs-Elysées will be car-free at the level of the Etoile roundabout, you should rather think of using public transports that are free for the night!

Here’s what to expect:

Yet, on January 1, 2018, no parade will be held on the Champs-Elysées like there used to be. Indeed, originally managed by Marcel Campion and given the power struggle between Paris mayor and carnies.  So, it’s not surprising to see this event being cancelled.
