Pedestrian Days on the Champs-Élysées: once a month, all year round! It’s a rare chance to experience the world’s most beautiful avenue in a whole new way—and to snap a selfie in front of the Arc de Triomphe without the car traffic ruining the view. Note that there will be no pedestrianization in January! The next event is this Sunday, February 1st.
Once a month, Paris Breathes! Indeed, in addition to the Champs-Élysées avenue, the first four districts of Paris go green and car-free, temporarily removing motor vehicles for a full day. The next event is scheduled for February 2026.
The Olympic Games are shaping up to be a difficult time for Parisians' mobility, with the ring road cut by one lane and crowded public transport. A new proposal also calls for a car-free capital for the duration of the competition.
Car-Free Day in Paris, renamed "Paris Respire" day, returns on Sunday, September 17, 2023. For one day, cars will be banned from Paris. Parisians are invited to "discover the city in a different light".
On the occasion of the Paris Respire day on September 18, 2022, DockSession organizes a great ride in the capital, on board his skate or longboard, accessible to all and free!
