Monument Jeu d'Enfant 2026: Workshops for Young Artists at the Villa Savoye in Poissy

On 17 and 18 October 2026, Villa Savoye opens its doors for a family‑friendly weekend as part of the Monument Jeu d’Enfant 2026 event. Here are the activities on the agenda.

What better way to mark the start of the All Saints' Day vacations than with a fun event dedicated entirely to children? Once again this year, the Monument Jeu d'Enfant cultural event returns to Paris and the Île-de-France region, to the delight of the little ones... And even older children.

The aim of this annual event is to help children discover and appreciate their local heritage. With activities, themed tours, games and shows, families can enjoy a weekend packed with entertainment, and admire the architectural, cultural and historical heritage of Paris and the Île-de-France region at the same time. It's a good plan that never gets old! Please note, however, that while children enter participating monuments free of charge, adults have to pay for their tickets.

Poissy, in the Paris region, the Villa Savoye is also taking part in the 2026 edition of Monument Jeu d'Enfant. This iconic modernist house, designed by Le Corbusier, was built between 1928 and 1931. Architecture enthusiasts love visiting this standout building, which showcases the genius and distinctive hallmarks of Le Corbusier's craft.

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October from 10:00 to 11:30 AM
THE IMAGINARY NEST
After exploring the exhibition and the villa’s thematic elements tied to how we live and the design of domestic life in dialogue with the two artists, children will be invited to build their own nest box, modeled after Matali Crasset’s design: a small, modular, and original little house. Using drawing, collage and a variety of cut-out tiny-house templates, they can assemble and imagine a whimsical habitat inspired by the visit.

COLORS, SHAPES, RELIEFS: CROSS-VIEWS BETWEEN THE VILLA SAVOYE AND MATALI CRASSET
Matali Crasset is famed for her colorful modules that give depth to her objects. The Villa, nicknamed “the bright hours,” also gains depth as Le Corbusier-inspired colors fill its walls. Thinking of color as a decor motif is a common thread in both artists. Through this themed visit, the public will discover the importance of color in furniture design and in modern and contemporary architecture.
