Monument Jeu d'Enfant 2026: the schedule of activities at the Panthéon in Paris

The Panthéon will take part in the Monument Jeu d’Enfant weekend on 17 and 18 October 2026, offering families an interactive tour to rediscover this memorial to France’s great men.

A central monument in Paris, the Panthéon is a necropolis dedicated to the great men of the French Republic. The crypt contains the tombs of Rousseau, Voltaire,Émile Zola, Jean Moulin, Louis Braille, René Cassin, Victor Schœlcher, Jean Monnet, Marie Curie and Simone Veil. In all, more than 80 people are buried in this monument.

This building, located in the Latin Quarter, should have housed the shrine of Saint Geneviève. However, during the French Revolution, it was given a new mission: to honor the great figures of French history.

To make this solemn place more accessible to children, the Panthéon is offering a few playful activities open to all this weekend, October 17–18, 2026, as part of the Monument Jeu d'enfant event Monument Jeu d'enfant.

This fun and educational event gives the very youngest visitors a chance to discover the national monuments of Paris and the Île-de-France region, through tours, workshops and shows adapted to young visitors. Please note that reservations are required for this family event.

"What to do with ideas from the past?"
For the family weekend "Monument, a Child’s Play," the Panthéon and the Philomoos association present a workshop blending discovery, philosophy and creation. Guided by philosopher Fanny Bourillon, kids and adults embark on a tour of the monument and the exhibition “Vies Minuscules,” centered on the question: “What should we do with ideas from the past?” Why do certain ideas, battles and commitments deserve to be transmitted and preserved—in books, in libraries, or in monuments?
During an interactive visit, children discuss memory and the traces left by women and men in history. The experience continues with Angie Gadea, a visual artist, who invites participants to craft a paper pop-up object inspired by the Panthéon, using folding, collage and writing techniques.

Full price: €13 - Free for children and certain audiences.
