Fête de la Science 2024: a day on biodiversity at the Paris Complex Systems Institute

From October 4 to 14, 2024, the Fête de la Science is back this autumn, with a great program planned in Paris and the Île-de-France region. At the Institut des Systèmes Complexes in Paris, we're looking forward to a day dedicated to the climate.

The Fête de la Science is a national event created in 1991 to democratize scientific culture for the general public. Held every year in October, the event celebrates its 33rd edition in October 2024, with conferences, workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations designed to make science accessible to all, in a fun and educational atmosphere. This year's theme is our oceans, entitled "Oceans of Knowledge".

In Paris, the Fête de la Science takes on a special dimension, with numerous events taking place in museums, universities and research centers. Emblematic venues such as the Palais de la Découverte, the Musée des Arts et Métiers and the Cité des Sciences host activities for families, schoolchildren and enthusiasts of all ages.

Located in the 13th arrondissement ofParis, theInstitut des Systèmes Complexes de Paris Île-de-France is an interdisciplinary research center founded in 2005, dedicated to the study of complex systems, be they social, biological or technical phenomena. Based in Paris, the institute brings together researchers from various disciplines - physics, biology, sociology - to analyze phenomena such as communication networks, epidemics and collective intelligence. It plays a key role in scientific innovation and the modeling of complex systems, helping to inform public policy and develop new technologies.
