Festival Les Déferlantes 2020 in XS version - Cancelled

Les Déferlantes XS festival is cancelled due to the current health situation.

The organizers explained:"Despite our joint efforts with the Mairie d'Argelès-sur-Mer and the Préfecture des Pyrénées Orientales, we are today forced to cancel Les Déferlantes XS Sud de France which was due to take place from August 28 to 30, 2020 at the Parc de Valmy.

Even though we're going through a difficult period, we didn't want to give up.

We had mobilized our partners and sponsors, whom we would like to thank warmly for their unfailing support.

Our teams worked with rigor and precision to make this a festive occasion.

As you know, the situation has become more uncertain than when we launched this event, and despite all the health precautions taken to ensure that each and every one of you feels safe, reason has forced us to take this sad and frustrating decision.

Our thanks to festival-goers for their enthusiasm: tickets will be automatically refunded as soon as possible.

Thank you to all the artists we hope to program in the near future."

The Déferlantes festival should have invaded Argelès-Sur-Mer from July 8 to 11, 2020. However, due to the health crisis, the organizers have announced that it has been postponed to July 7-10, 2021. The line-up includes Ben Harper, Soprano, Angèle, Jean-Louis Aubert, SUM 41 and Simple Minds.

But that's not the only good news the organizers have in store for you. Yes, you can rejoice, because the festival in the South of France will indeed take place this summer, but in an XS version.

" Despite the difficulties of the last few months, we have continued to work on numerous projects, encouraged and supported by your messages, for which we warmly thank you! Thanks to the support of the Région Occitanie Pyrénées Méditerranée, the Département des Pyrénées-Orientales, the town of Argelès-sur-Mer, Crédit Mutuel and our loyal partners, we are happy and proud to announce that the Déferlantes Sud de France will indeed take place this year, but in an XS version and with a dedicated program," said the organizers in a press release.

See you at the Parc de Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer from August 28 to 30, 2020 to discover the XS version of the Déferlantes festival.

As the organizers point out, " all health recommendations will be imposed by the organization and will apply to all persons admitted to the site (staff and public): temperature check and hydro-alcoholic gel at the entrance to the festival, hydro-alcoholic gel at bars and catering outlets, physical distancing and compulsory wearing of masks in traffic and queues ". Another important measure is the recommendation to download cashless cards beforehand, in order to avoid grouping as much as possible.

See you soon to take note of the new internal regulations. Of course, they may evolve according to the measures subsequently announced by the government.

Les Déferlantes XS will therefore be limited to 4,500 people per day. Prices: €25 per day or €65 for a 3-day pass.

In terms of programming, the festival invites you to let off steam to the sounds of JoeyStarr, Caballero & Jeanjass, The Avener, Vladimir Cauchemar and 47Ter.
