Le Panthéon, sanctuaire des grands personnages de la République

Le Panthéon est un monument de style néo-classique situé dans le 5ᵉ arrondissement de Paris, au cœur du Quartier latin, sur la montagne Sainte-Geneviève.
Il est considéré comme le temple de la nation française.
En créant une architecture religieuse exemplaire, Soufflot répondait au vœu de Louis XV de glorifier dignement la monarchie en la personne de sainte Geneviève.
On y trouve aujourd'hui les dépouilles des grandes femmes et des grands hommes qui ont marqué l'Histoire de la France.
