Have you ever looked up at this strange radio tower near Les Lilas? Impossible to miss, with its flying saucer shape resting on a shaft, it intrigues. Built in the 1980s to broadcast TV, radio and the Internet, and designed by Claude Vasconi, this 141-meg tower is now classified as Remarkable Contemporary Architecture. We'll take you on a tour!
As part of the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 (Heritage Days 2024), Seine-Saint-Denis is inviting you to explore four places of World War II history and remembrance, including the Fort de Romainville, on September 22.
The Fort de Romainville, where the TDF tower is located, witnessed a rich history in the 20th century: a place of Resistance, it is here that a new memorial is due to be inaugurated shortly.
