Bouvard & Pécuchet, an adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's novel, is presented at the Claude Debussy Auditorium in Versailles on June 15 and 16, in a staging by Géraud Bénéch. Headlined by Jean-Paul Farré and Marc Chouppart, the play follows two office workers who set out on a quest for knowledge that is as funny as it is precarious, weaving between encyclopedias, failed experiments, and a satire of the spirit of the system.
At Molière Month 2026, Olympe Audouard returns to the spotlight in Versailles with a play at the Auditorium Claude Debussy on May 31 and June 26. The show revisits the life of a 19th-century woman of letters—a journalist, traveler and feminist—who defended her ideas through writing and activism. We’ve seen the performance; read our review.
