Every year, the July 14th national holiday is marked by fireworks displays all over the Paris region. But sometimes, for various reasons, some communes are forced to cancel the pyrotechnic shows. We take a look at the cancellations for these July 13 and 14, 2024.

The Fête Nationale is one of France's most important summer events. Every year on July 14, traditional festivities take place all over the country, including in the Paris region. Among the must-see Fête Nationale celebrations, of course, are the fireworks displays that take place in various communes in the Paris region between July 13 and 14, 2024. The highlight of the show will be a pyrotechnic display from the Eiffel Tower in Paris!

However, from year to year, various reasons can lead some communes to cancel the pyrotechnic shows planned for the Bastille Day on July 14th. Whether for budgetary reasons, due to unfavorable weather conditions such as strong winds, rain, thunderstorms or drought, or for reasons linked to current events, fireworks displays may not take place, and announcements of such cancellations may be made at the last minute. That's why, before you travel, we invite you to check that the shows will actually take place. Please note that while some fireworks displays may be cancelled, this does not mean that the rest of the festivities planned in the commune concerned for July 14th will not take place!
