A few months ago, we told you about Aux Deux Canelés, a Parisian store specializing in canelé. In this boutique, the canelé is available in many sweet and savory versions, each more surprising than the last.
For the 2020 holiday season, Aude Langlais and Aude Prudhomme, the two founders ofAux Deux Canelés, have come up with an original dessert that should please everyone.
Called Le Sapin d'Aude, this highly original Christmas 2020 dessert is made up of 24 filled canelés set on a chocolate shortbread base. Two canelés recipes are available: Mont Blanc-style canelés with meringue center, plain whipped cream and chestnut cream; and chocolate-hazelnut canelés coated with 70% dark chocolate. 9 mini-canelés are interspersed between the large, plump canelés.
A creation to be discovered in boutiques and on the Maison's e-shop from December 19 to 31, 2020. Count €70 for a Sapin d'Aude for 10 to 12 gourmands.
For Christmas 2020, Aux Deux Canelés is also preparing a boxed set of savory mini-canelés (33€) with, once again, several flavors: foie gras/onion chutney, salmon gravlax with dill and 5 berries, turkey/black truffle and goat's cheese/dried tomatoes.
And forEpiphany 2021, we're discovering a cute canelé des Rois topped with frangipane, with a crown-shaped shortbread on top!
