This year, Yannick Begel's "entrée du bois" combines chocolate and... chestnuts! Head Pastry Chef at the Hotel Les Etangs de Corot,

Les Etangs de Corot Hotel Pastry ChefYannick Bugel didn't go far for inspiration. Looking at the painting Entrée du Bois à Ville-d'Avray, by the famous painter Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, which illustrates the forest of Fausses-Reposes, located mainly in the Hauts-De-Seine, the Pastry Chef indeed had a revelation!

For the festive season of 2016, Yannick Begel delights our eyes with a log hidden beneathcrunchy milkchocolate leaves, a comforting delight thanks to the sweetness of chestnuts set on a soft cookie, just spiced up with lemon and tarragon for a note of pep that ensures you won't melt on the spot.

The Entrée du bois log, designed by Yannick Begel, will be served as a dessert at the Michelin-starred restaurant LeCorot and offered at tea time at Café des Artistes from December 21 to 25, 2016, at a price of 15 euros per person. It will also be available to take away and blow your guests away on the evening of December 24.
