At the Castle of Pierrefonds, in the 60's, it is said that on Sunday 9 and Monday 10 April 2023, an astonishing doll's house took up residence in one of the castle's rooms. It is even said that this house looks like one of the rooms of the castle, but this time, it is as if the room had been completely emptied: all the decorations have disappeared. So, the budding adventurers are tasked with solving this strange mystery: from clue to riddle, it's up to you to find out how to restore the colors and decorations of the castle room!
On Sunday as on Monday, the animation is proposed in the morning, from 10am to 12:30pm (last departure at 11:30am) or in the afternoon, from 2pm to 5pm (last departure at 4pm). If they succeed, the brave adventurers of the weekend, including the youngest ones from 5 years old (also encouraged to participate in the investigation), will be largely rewarded by sweets, which the Castle has planned to offer them once their noble quest is solved.
The good news is that the animation is free for all children and teenagers under 25 years old since there is no extra charge on the entrance ticket. Only adults (over 25 years old) must pay 8 € for their entrance ticket.
Not very famous compared to some of the most famous castles in Ile-de-France, the Pierrefonds Castle is a national monument. First built under the orders of the Duke of Orleans in the 14th century, the castle was finally brought up to date in the 19th century by the architect Viollet-le-Duc.
