The Trail de la Peur (Trail of Fear) is a spooky night-time race that plunges you into the heart of a horror film through immersive courses on Saturday, November 4, 2023. And since Halloween is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a good scare, this unusual event is sure to thrill even the bravest runners.
The Trail de la Peur awaits the most adventurous among us on the Île de Loisirs de Jablines-Annet in Seine-et-Marne. For the occasion, throughout the day, the island is transformed into a haunted place, with face-painting workshops, masquerade costume contests, a Horror Museum and a treasure hunt to delight young and old alike. Then, as night falls, only the most adventurous souls remain: the participants in the famous Trail de la Peur!
This immersive race-walk is open to everyone aged 9 and over. A 3.33km course is dedicated to the youngest participants. Older runners, aged 13 and over, can set off on a 6.66km course (in reference to the devil). The start is at 6 p.m. for the youngest runners, and 6.50 p.m. for the classic course. From then on, runners will set off in waves on a frightening course populated by zombies, white ladies, witches, monsters, clowns and other charming midnight demons who will take you to the end of the night. You can even join the clan of mystical creatures if you feel like it!
So, are you brave enough to give it a try?
