The Maison des Métallos is taking part in Paris’ Heritage Days with a program devoted to its history, architecture, and cultural activities, on September 19 and 20, 2026. In the 11th arrondissement, this iconic venue reveals a heritage rooted in workers’ memory and in contemporary creation.

    On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Maison des Métallos offers a scavenger hunt specially designed for young visitors to discover a flagship of Paris’s industrial heritage.

    With sharpened ears and curious eyes, our budding investigators set off to find Marcus’s missing trumpet. The musician must take the stage that very evening: without his instrument, he risks having to cancel the performance!

    Join the kids to solve this mystery by stepping back in time. Through codes, riddles, and stories of the place, it’s a playful chance to learn more about the Maison and its many lives since it was built in 1881.

    On the occasion of European Heritage Days, Maison des Métallos throws its doors wide open and invites you to explore a flagship of Paris’s industrial heritage.

    Originally a 19th-century instrument workshop, then a stronghold of the workers’ union movement, and finally a public cultural venue, Maison des Métallos has undergone numerous metamorphoses and hides a remarkably rich history.

    During a guided visit, the Souffleurs de sens team reveals what lies behind this iconic façade, listed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments, and details the different spaces you’ll traverse as well as the iconography you’ll encounter.
