With this venue, card games will soon stop being a secret to you! On the occasion of the 43rd edition of the Heritage Days, the Museum of Playing Cards invites you to explore its collections on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026. This quirky museum has prepared some very special activities for this cultural weekend.
For the record, the French Playing Card Museum opened its doors in 1981, and is housed in the entrance pavilion of the former Château des Princes de Conti. It is one of the few museums in the world devoted to the subject of playing cards. In all, over 7,000 decks of playing cards are on display here, along with engravings, drawings and other objects related to the world of card games...
Exhibitions, meetings, events, shows: the Musée de la Carte à Jouer hosts a wide range of events to showcase its collections, but also to help us discover the history of the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux.
Have your portrait taken and discover the Afghan box (Afghan box)
As the bicentennial of photography is being commemorated, particularly during these European Heritage Days, the Isséenne association Zoom92130 marks 70 years of existence. In addition to numerous exhibitions, the association invites you to have your portrait taken with an Afghan box. It’s an opportunity to travel back to the 1930s, to the moment when Louis Chardonneret, whom you will see in the portrait, donated his playing-card collection to the town.
