Every year, these days provide a wonderful opportunity to explore France’s rich cultural heritage. Over the course of two days, both locals and visitors are invited to enjoy special openings, step inside unusual sites or major institutions, and uncover many hidden or lesser-known treasures. I'm talking about the Heritage Days, which return on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, 2023 for its 40th edition. Among the highlights are, of course, the train station tours, such as that of the Porte Maillot station. As part of the extension of the RER E line to the west, the Eole project will soon bring three new stations to life between Haussmann Saint-Lazare and Nanterre, including Porte Maillot. Situated beneath the current roundabout at Porte Maillot and designed by architect JM Duthilleul, this station aims to streamline connections with the RER Line C, the metro Line 1, and the upcoming surface tram Line 3.
