The Journées du Patrimoine are back! On the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2025, you'll be able to enjoy a superb program of cultural discoveries, generally free of charge , as well asunusual events. It's a not-to-be-missed event for those who want to discover the mysteries of the capital and the surrounding region. Every year, this Europe-wide event unveils a host oforiginal activities in museums, castles and monuments, as well as in places usually closed to the public.
But be warned: if you'd like to enjoy some of the experiences you've come to expect from the Heritage Days, you should be aware that some are only accessible by reservation. To help you prepare your program and avoid disappointment, we take a look at the places in Paris and the Île-de-France region that are subject to registration for the Journées du Patrimoine 2025. These generally open between late August and early September. Then it's up to you to make sure you don't miss out!
