This is it! It's the long-awaited return of the event that's so popular with fans of cultural nuggets, good deals and new experiences! The Journées du Patrimoine return to Paris and the Île-de-France region for the 42nd edition, which promises to be full of wonderful discoveries. Every year, on the 3rd weekend of September, this flagship event in the Parisian cultural calendar invites us to discover our heritage in a new light, through an original and often free program. Each year, numerous monuments, castles, museums and private venues offer tours, events and workshops for the whole family. In the Paris region, the program is so vast that we can all find something to suit our passions.
The Journées du Patrimoine are one of the rare opportunities to discover the Crédit Municipal de Paris. Located in the heart of the City of Light, in the Marais, its origins date back to 1637, making it the oldest financial institution in Paris. Formerly known as the Mont-de-Piété, theHôtel particulier in which it is housed was built on the site of a former convent, itself founded on Philippe Auguste's former enceinte. Remains of both monuments can still be seen.
Come and discover the history of Crédit Municipal de Paris (formerly Mont-de-Piété), which has existed since 1637 and has been located at 55 rue des Francs-Bourgeois since 1777! It houses a vestige of Philippe Auguste's enclosure and the largest auction room in Paris. Take a trip back in time to discover pawnbroking, auctions and solidarity savings (among other activities!).
All areas are open to the public.
Please note: the pawnshop is only open on Sundays. Saturdays are reserved for customers.

The appraisal of objects and works of art has been at the heart of Crédit Municipal de Paris' business for several centuries.
For the European Heritage Days, come and have your objects (jewelry, watches) appraised free of charge by our teams of auctioneers, who will estimate their value. You'll be able to discover a fascinating profession, and gain valuable information about the objects you own.
> Saturday and Sunday, from 12pm to 7pm.
> Free admission
