This iconic building in the Halles district was built in 1767. Originally a wheat market, it was destroyed by fire in 1854 and converted into the Bourse de Commerce, home to the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was inaugurated as such on September 24, 1889, during theExposition Universelle, which also saw the birth of the Eiffel Tower.

Listed as a Monument Historique, the Bourse de Commerce has now been transformed into an exhibition space, showcasing works of art from François Pinault's collection. In keeping with its history, a restaurant awaits you just beneath the dome: La Halle aux Grains.
