The Château d'Auvers-sur-Oise awaits you on the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2025, for the 42nd European Heritage Days. Discover the program that awaits you this year.

Every year, the Château d'Auvers-sur-Oise hosts the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days). An opportunity to celebrate the Impressionist heritage of this magnificent site, whose gardens have so inspired artists, and to discover the château itself. Join us on September 20 and 21, 2025 for an outing with family and friends, in the heart of a unique place that has stood the test of time and change.

Auvers-sur-Oise has been a popular holiday resort since the Middle Ages. Its green spaces, peaceful riverbanks and architectural heritage bear witness to an unparalleled wealth of history. Where Daubigny, Cézanne and so many others drew their inspiration, nature blends with art in perfect harmony.

For this 2025 edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, the Château d'Auvers-sur-Oise is well worth a visit. Cross the nine hectares of this exceptional site and step back in time to discover this castle rich in history. Stroll through these former hunting grounds, which once stretched as far as the Oise valley. Immerse yourself in a landscape that has been painted and depicted many times by artists such as Van Gogh, who were inspired by the beauty of the estate and surrounding village.

The program for Heritage Days 2025 at Château d'Auvers-sur-Oise:

  • Free visit to the "Van Gogh, the last journeys" exhibition
    Saturday, September 20, 2025 - 10:00 ⤏ 18:00 | Sunday, September 21, 2025 - 10:00 ⤏ 18:00

The "VAN GOGH, LES DERNIERS VOYAGES" exhibition at the Château d'Auvers takes the form of a digital tour presenting the painter's works in very high definition, accompanied by original works by artists from his entourage, who worked in the same places and at the same time.

Museum-quality facsimiles of Vincent van Gogh's major paintings, the "Museum Editions" donated by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, complete the exhibition.

For the first time, Vincent van Gogh's last journeys are presented as a final exploration and return to the roots of the man and the artist.

Visitors travel through France at the same time as the painter, from the Parisian years with his brother Theo to his last stay in Auvers-sur-Oise, via Arles and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. It offers a glimpse both into his private life and his creative process.

The exhibition successively presents the painter's different material and human environments during his last four years.

Here's your chance to immerse yourself in the 19th century, and travel back in time. Heading for Val-d'Oise?
