The Journées du Patrimoine are back on September 20 and 21, 2025, offering an exceptional opportunity to discover, free of charge, emblematic sites that are often inaccessible to the general public. This not-to-be-missed cultural event celebrates the richness of France's heritage, offering a wide range of guided tours, exhibitions and conferences across the country. Among the treasures to be explored, theEspace Niemeyer, headquarters of the French Communist Party, awaits you for this 2024 edition.
TheEspace Niemeyer, located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, is an architectural masterpiece designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Inaugurated in 1980, this futuristic building with its curved, organic forms perfectly embodies the avant-gardism of its creator, also known for his work on the United Nations headquarters in New York and the city of Brasilia. The building is distinguished by its white dome, a true emblem of modern architecture, and its luminous interior, where volumes unfold with fluidity. A symbol of creativity and daring, theEspace Niemeyer is steeped in history and symbolism.

To coincide with the France-Brazil 2025 season, visit Oscar Niemeyer's main works in the Paris region, all three of which have been protected as historic monuments since 2007.
Visit the Paris headquarters of the French Communist Party, a seminal achievement whose essential parts the group will tour, from the cafeteria and basement rooms, built between 1970 and 1971, to the conference room under the dome, completed in 1980.
Departure for the former headquarters of the newspaper L'Humanité, in Saint-Denis, begun in 1987 and inaugurated in 1989, still undergoing restoration to house government services in the Île-de-France region in the autumn. Lastly, the tour ends with a visit to the Bourse départementale du travail in Bobigny, built between 1972 and 1978 and featuring the same layout as the PCF headquarters: an office building and an "architectural surprise", the auditorium.
