The Théâtre Silvia Monfort, located in the 15th arrondissement, is telling its story through guided tours on the occasion of the new Journées du Patrimoine, on Saturday September 20, 2025.

If you're a fan of exceptional visits and unexpected discoveries, the Journées du Patrimoine are for you! On Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2025, hundreds of events are scheduled across France and Europe to celebrate the 42nd edition of this unique event. During the weekend, most cultural sites are open to the general public. It's a chance to discover your city's museums, cinemas and monuments for free. Since 2009, the Théâtre Silvia Monfort has been dedicated to contemporary creation, discovering and showcasing emerging talent, but this wasn't always the case! In the past, the site was home to vineyards, then a slaughterhouse, a horse market and a circus! In short, the history of the Théâtre Silvia Monfort couldn't be richer, and will soon hold no secrets for you!

    Before becoming a theater, the site occupied by the Théâtre Silvia Monfort was home to vineyards, the Vaugirard slaughterhouse, a horse market, a circus tent...

    Built by architect Claude Parent in the 1990s, the theater has the astonishing shape of a 23-meter-high hexagonal pyramid overlooking the Parc Georges Brassens.

    Discover the history of the theater, closely linked to that of Silvia Monfort, actress, resistance fighter and founding director of the theater, on a guided tour, and explore the spaces, from the stage to the dressing rooms!
