For this 42nd edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, you'll once again have the choice of discovering incredible architectural gems or more unusual sites, such as Jean Dubuffet's famous Tour aux figures. Located in the Parc Départemental de l'Ile Saint-Germain in Issy-les-Moulineaux, this incredible sculpture - 24 metres high - was renovated in 2020 by the Hauts-de-Seine department.

For the duration of a weekend, push open the door of the Espace Découverte de la Tour aux Figures: a place open to all to better understand this monumental work and the singular universe of its creator, Jean Dubuffet.
Through models, archive images, books and playful devices, discover the history of the tower, the secrets of its construction, and the stages of its spectacular restoration. Young and old alike can also handle, touch, observe... and marvel.

Enjoy an intimate and original experience inside the Tour aux figures itself: a short guided tour will reveal the secrets of this monumental work, before you settle down comfortably for the projection of several videos tracing the creation of the Tower and its spectacular restoration carried out by the Hauts-de-Seine Department.

The session begins with a guided tour, suitable for young and old alike, to discover the secrets of this giant sculpture. Then it's time to get creative: children, accompanied by their parents, are invited to take part in an artistic workshop inspired by the colorful world of Jean Dubuffet.
