The Saint-Bernard chapel was awarded the "Patrimoine du XXe siècle" label in 2013. Inaugurated in 1965, it is the work of architect Henri Pottier, who also built housing and a swimming pool in Colombes. Pottier's architectural choices gave Saint-Bernard church a certain originality, with a circular layout - the only example of its kind in the Paris region.

In June 1940, in the midst of the French army's debacle, a handful of Hispano-Suiza employees were assigned to watch over the Bois-Colombes plant. They need your help to preserve the industrial genius of this flagship of French aeronautics.
A visit to the former Hispano-Suiza wind tunnel will provide an opportunity to learn about the history of the company, the workings of the wind tunnel, the transformation of the former wind tunnel into a school, and the development of the Bruyères district.
A former employee of the Hispano-Suiza plant will be on hand to talk about his career with the company.

Heritage Days at Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Church in Bois-Colombes
In July 1870, a chapel was opened in the Bois de Colombes district, as an annex to the Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church in Colombes. More than a year after the town's independence, in 1897, the chapel became a parish church. The façade and bell tower, as well as most of the stained glass windows and the organ, bear witness to the history of the first church, which was enlarged and renovated between 1924 and 1929. Following interior renovation of the building in 2011-2012, the organ, built by organ builder Ernest Béasse in 1904, is currently being restored.
An opportunity to discover Bois-Colombes' oldest public building and its Béasse-Grenzing organ (restored and enlarged in 2023-2024) is offered during the European Heritage Days. On Saturday, September 20, participants can continue their visit by attending a lecture on the organ's 2025-2026 season at the Salle Jean-Renoir.

François Gobillard, president of the Association des amis de l'orgue de Notre-Dame de Bon-Secours, will give a talk on the theme of the 2025/2026 organ season: the art of transcription.
Since the Baroque era, composers have been in the habit of transcribing their own works or those of their contemporaries from instrumental or orchestral ensembles to the keyboard. The organ, an instrument-orchestra in its own right, is marvelously suited to the rendering of these transcriptions, which you will hear, during the 2025/2026 season, under the fingers of three organists with an international reputation in this type of repertoire.
On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21/09, participants can discover the organ and the building that houses it, the church of Notre-Dame de Bon-Secours, during a guided tour (4pm, duration: approx. 1h15).
