The Journées du Patrimoine are back again this year for an exceptional edition, taking place on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2025. This not-to-be-missed cultural event offers you the chance to visit over 1,500 sites in Paris and the Île-de-France region. During the Journées du Patrimoine 2025,Atelier Baudouin, located in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in the Val-de-Marne region of France, is offering you a rare opportunity to admire the process of restoring stained glass windows in a church, through a commented presentation that allows us to discover exceptional know-how, and priceless historical pieces.
Bonus? Children are welcome! You'll learn more about the various stages involved in bringing these masterpieces back to life. Please note, you can only touch with your eyes: photographs are not permitted.
This year's workshop will showcase 19th-century stained glass, illustrating the techniques in vogue at the time and the specific conservation issues involved. Visits must be booked in advance by e-mail. Open Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m., 10.30 a.m., 1.30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4.30 p.m. Children are welcome (please specify when booking for a dedicated activity).
