In the heart of the Yvelines region, you'll find the Elsa Triolet - Aragon house, witness to the two writers' love affair, which you'll be able to visit free of charge on September 20 and 21, 2025, for the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days)!

During the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) in Paris and the surrounding regions, you can expand your knowledge by visiting museums, historical institutions and even royal castles! The people of the Paris region are in luck, as there are plenty of cultural venues to choose from, including the homes of writers and painters who once made their homes in the capital's neighboring départements. On September 20 and 21, 2025, you can visit the places that inspired these artists, free of charge!

The Maison Elsa Triolet - Aragon, a gift from poet Louis Aragon to Elsa Triolet, is a beautiful setting with a sculpture garden and extensive grounds. A former water mill set in a six-hectare park, it was the setting for the love affair between Louis Aragon and the writer Elsa Triolet.

You can admire the living spaces, still furnished, and the thousands of books and everyday objects that once belonged to the couple. The remains of the old mill are also still visible, enriching the tour and immersing us in the astonishing history of this building with a thousand lives.
