It's an event we look forward to every year. If you're a fan of art, history, politics, fashion, sport or heritage, you won't want to miss this exceptional weekend... The Journées du Patrimoine return to Paris and the Île-de-France region on September 21 and 22, 2025. This 42nd edition will focus on living heritage and the heritage of sport. Themes that should inspire the places of interest around us.
Each year, several thousand locations open their doors to the public. Ministries, parliaments, museums, monuments, department stores, transport hubs, churches, leisure and art centers... All are taking part in this great celebration of heritage.
Just a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées and the Seine, the Grand Palais, the remains of the 1900 Universal Exhibition, recognizable by its immense glass roof, is the place to be for this edition of the Journées du Patrimoine à Paris. Iconic site of the Paris 2024 Games, this cultural landmark unveils a rich program throughout the year!

Be eco-friendly!
Carton Lune invites you to take part in the creation of a collective eco-responsible model. Welcomed in the magnificent Salon Seine of the Grand Palais, in groups of 10, you'll build one of the elements of an imaginary city. Accompanied by Carton Lune, you help build the structure using the materials provided. Cutting, tearing, drawing, gluing, the work grows and takes shape!
Young or old, alone or with the family, the Carton Lune experience is accessible to all. Artistic, poetic and committed, the workshop is a bonding experience that lets you have fun while practicing the art of recycling. And it works!
Come and explore the Grand Palais on your own or with the whole family on an interactive tour involving games and discussion. The tour lasts one hour and is open to all ages 7 and up. Departures are staggered from 10am to 4pm.
Meet at reception, 10 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket.
Put the Nave of the Grand Palais in your pocket!
The Carbone 14 design studio has concocted an art and paper workshop, all skill and delicacy. Test your manual skills and patience!
Take your time, assemble your model and leave with a beautiful souvenir of your day at the Grand Palais.
Children meet the Great Nepharion, a strange and funny animal who lives in the Grand Palais. Thanks to the magic propeller on his head, he whirls through the air. He loves welcoming visitors, especially children! Artist Laura Daniel, who imagined the Great Nepharion, invites them to invent the bestiary of their dreams.
Poetry, creativity and humour are on the agenda!
