The LEGO, those colorful plastic bricks from Denmark, have captivated generations across ages. Kids and adults alike enjoy building new worlds and having fun with a game that bridges generations. Younger children can unleash their creativity or recreate scenes featuring their favorite superheroes. For grown-ups, LEGO offers a chance to become real architects, with sets that allow you to replicate iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame de Paris, or the Death Star from Star Wars.
At the Grand Palais, the team behind Histories in LEGO has taken on a new challenge. Inside the Seine Hall, an open-to-the-public free space, the creators set out to build a LEGO replica of the Grand Palais! Using no less than 72,117 bricks, they crafted this highly detailed model.
From February 21 to March 1, 2026, visitors had the chance to watch the assembly of this special replica, which faithfully re-creates the iconic Parisian monument. From its expansive glass roof to its ornate facade, the Grand Palais was built brick by brick, between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., by a team of construction experts.
This unusual project has been in the works for several months: after an extensive modeling phase, the team behind Stories in Bricks is finally moving into the final stage—assembly! Children and adults alike have had the chance to watch this intricate build come to life and see the model evolve and become more complete each day.
After more than 60 hours of work, the model is finally finished and displayed at the entrance of the Seine Fair. Safely protected beneath a glass case, visitors are free to walk around and appreciate every detail of the intricate design.
It's free and open to the public without the need for a reservation: don't wait any longer—come check out this unique LEGO structure.
