The Colors Festival returns to Paris after a three-year hiatus and sets up in the 15th arrondissement with Colors Light, a new immersive exhibition exploring blacklight and urban art, opening from April 16 to July 26, 2026.

The Colors Festival returns within Paris proper, and this time it plays with light. From April 16 to July 26, 2026, Colors Light will transform a building undergoing a major change at 179 Boulevard Lefebvre, in the 15th arrondissement, turning its walls into a space for sensory experimentation.

Many artists have taken over around 700 m² to create immersives works, designed to respond to black light, fluorescence and phosphorescence. Here, color doesn’t just exist: it appears, disappears and transforms as you move through the space.

To grasp the scale of the project, a quick look back is in order. Created in 2021 at the initiative of artist Combo, the Colors Festival rests on a concept that is simple yet effective: every year, take over a space left empty before upcoming works, and temporarily transform it into an immersive street art exhibition. In five years, the project has drawn more than 180,000 visitors across several French and European cities, from Paris to Bordeaux, via Manchester and London. Each edition has used a different venue, from the 11th arrondissement for the grand opening in 2021 to Porte de la Villette in 2023, then an abandoned house in Champigny-sur-Marne for the 2024 and 2025 editions, directed artistically by Mexican street artist Farid Rueda and his Latin American-inspired frescoes.

With Colors Light, Combo and his team are pursuing a direction already tried in London—the world of light. That’s why half of the works on display in this exhibition come from British artists. The pieces come alive in the dark, revealing compositions invisible to the naked eye in broad daylight. It’s no longer a space to gaze at; it’s a space that responds, surprises, and envelops you. Across more than 700 square meters, each room has been designed to interact with black light, creating a visual and sensory journey that you can experience solo, with family, or with friends.

This very building at 179 boulevard Lefebvre will soon host the first permanent museum of the dream team. Supported by a successful crowdfunding campaign on Ulule, the project envisions a permanent collaborative space with solo shows and group exhibitions year-round. There will even be free exhibitions. A real leap in scale that, rest assured, will rotate regularly with the seasons to keep surprising us. The house plans to mount itinerant exhibitions with different labels.

Colors Light takes on a very particular meaning: at once the final artistic reading of a space before its transformation, and the starting point of a venture far more lasting. To keep up with announcements about the future museum, one eye on their Instagram account is essential. The next Colors Festival won’t come to life for another two years, allowing this unusual museum to be fully developed in the Paris area.

Notre avis : here’s a beautiful exhibition that breaks from the ordinary and drops us into a striking, fluorescent world. The vivid colors grab you instantly. It’s refreshing to find this kind of offering in a neighborhood that feels a touch quiet, even if some might deem it a bit off the beaten path. And the bonus: this show is family-friendly and even includes a playful corner for children with tables and fluorescent markers to spark new passions.

To get there, the venue is reachable from Porte de Vanves station (Metro line 13) or the Brancion stop on tram T3a, just steps from Georges-Brassens Park and the Porte de Versailles. The ground floor is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. The exhibition welcomes visitors on weekdays from 11:00 to 18:00, and on weekends only on public holidays from 10:00 to 18:00. All information and ticketing are available on the Colors Festival official site.

Colors Light speaks to both seasoned street-art fans and curious visitors looking for an offbeat outing, far from the traditional museum scene. To keep the experience going in the same spirit, two other spots are worth a detour: the Atelier des Lumières in the 11th arrondissement, which offers monumental projections inside an old foundry, and the Fluctuart space, which unveils a beautiful cat-themed exhibition.
