A guided tour of the Aviators' Memorial
Since its creation in 2016, the Memorial Aviators Association has been running a memory project to honor the 20,000 airmen and airwomen who vanished in the line of duty. To keep their memory alive and pay tribute, AMA conducts historical research and maintains a database listing all the missing since the dawn of military aviation. The Memorial comprises a monument erected in front of the Air and Space Museum and an immersive multimedia space inside the museum.
In this “memory space,” visitors enter a world of images and can “fly over” the eras, delve into the history of a conflict, explore the aircraft, discover those who fell defending France (1,400 dossiers to date), and also learn about the missions of the French Air and Space Force today.

First look at the Eldorado series
On the occasion of European Heritage Days, this year devoted to endangered heritage, the Air and Space Museum invites you to an exclusive preview of the first three episodes of Eldorado, the new event series produced by TOP The Originals Productions, set to air this fall on ARTE.
Inspired by the tale of the so-called “sniffer planes,” believed to detect oil reserves from the skies, the series takes us back to the 1970s, a time when the quest for energy independence fueled the boldest technological ambitions. Because, as the French say, “we may not have oil, but we have ideas.” Between innovation, power, finance and manipulation, Eldorado chronicles a venture as captivating as it is vertiginous.
By reviving this chapter of our industrial and aeronautical history, the series echoes the museum’s mission: to preserve, transmit and question the technical and scientific heritage that shapes our view of progress.
The screening will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the audience, featuring producer Alex Berger (Le Bureau des Légendes) and Eldorado director Louis Farge, discussing the series’ genesis and the legacy left by these major technological promises that defined their era—a collective industrial and scientific heritage the museum is committed to preserving and passing on.
The talents in attendance will be:
Alex Berger, producer;
Louis Farge, director;
Tarek Haoudy, writer and screenwriter;
Nacim Mehtar, screenwriter.
