These Heritage Days 2026 are set to be as exceptional as ever: across France, a grand celebration is taking shape for Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026. Thousands of monuments, museums, historic sites and performance venues will throw open their doors to the public.

With 88 historic buildings, some of them listed, the Seine-Saint-Denis département offers a broad panorama ofindustrial architecture. In recent decades, a number of disused buildings have been given a new lease of life. The Journées du Patrimoine are an opportunity to celebrate the renaissance of Seine-Saint-Denis' heritage , with guided tours of carefully preserved sites.
Thanks to the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ), you can discover historical treasures close to home, free of charge. It's an opportunity not to be missed to visit places usually closed to the public, or to learn more about our region and its history. In Île-de-France, over 1,500 heritage sites are taking part in this open weekend. What's more, these sites are often free of charge during the event: now's the time to take advantage!
